Red Lightning
Remove that harmful black sludge from the bottom of your pond
Sludge occurs in slow moving and static water at the bottom of ponds and lakes. It basically consists or organic waste from fish excreta and dead plants that drop to the bottom to become a thick brown sediment.
The nutrients in it can promote the growth of unwelcome and harmful bacteria which in turn can reduce water quality affecting both flora and fauna. It can also make the water look cloudy and unpleasant. At worst it can produce noxious gases such as H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide) which give the smell of rotten eggs. All in all it is a bad thing to have and a good thing to get rid of.
How it works
No more shovels, buckets and smelly clothes!
RED LIGHTNING has been developed scientifically to release bacteria which colonise the layers of sludge and degrade the organic matter.
The bacteria in RED LIGHTNING have a broad range of metabolic activities producing a specific range of enzymes which break down fish excrement and uneaten food, dead plant matter and other materials which cause sludge leaving the water crystal clear.
The enzymes produced by RED LIGHTNING bacteria include Amylase which degrades starch, Cellulase which degrades plant and vegetable matter, Lipase which reduces fats oils and grease and Protease which degrades proteins.
